Title: Utilities Technician

In your role as a Utilities Technician located in the Zanesville, OH plant, you will work closely with the maintenance department and be able to use your skills to continuously improve our machinery to keep our plant running smoothly. In this role, you will be working a biweekly rotating 2/2/3 schedule at a rate of $34.36 per hour.
As a Utilities Technician with us, you’ll have the chance to work on a variety of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and even metal fabrication! No certification? No problem! We provide training and will help you obtain your certification within your first year. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to keep our production lines running smoothly and efficiently. In Zanesville, no two days are the same, ensuring you always have something new to learn. You will work alongside skilled professionals who are passionate about what they do.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Following Best Practices – Adhere to good manufacturing practices as you prepare equipment for production. You’ll use all the right safety precautions as you support our efforts to create better mornings and better breakfasts for our consumers.
- Ensuring Performance Efficiency – Always maintain reliable function of utilities and facilities equipment. Develop and execute standard operating procedures for all utilities equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance – Performs scheduled and emergency maintenance repairs of utilities equipment. Review and improve preventive and predictive maintenance to include inspecting failed components to determine root cause of failures, identifying and setting critical spare part levels and continuous improvements to utilities and facilities. Diagnose and repair equipment and systems effectively.
- Safety and Compliance – Reads and interprets equipment manuals, piping diagrams, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance. Adhere to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and safety guidelines. Learn and follow the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) standards and successfully complete all assigned trainings within specified timeframe.
- Provide Top Notch Customer Service – Complete self-assessment for developed equipment and work with department lead to develop training plan. Escalate issues to the Utilities & Facilities Manager when necessary. Enter maintenance notifications. Create, execute, and close work orders.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Ability to obtain CARO Certification within first year of employment. If already CARO or CIRO certified there will be an increase in compensation
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and proficient with electrical circuitry up to 480VAC
- Basic knowledge of metal fabricating and machine shop tools
- Effective communication, basic computer software knowledge, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Steam or boiler basic knowledge, operator knowledge a plus
