Title:  Technology Owner

Description: 

As a Technology Owner, you will be responsible for maximising the efficiency and performance of specific equipment within the plant. Your mission will be to drive towards zero losses by leveraging data analysis, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions. You’ll also play a key role in standardising best practices across similar equipment to elevate performance across the site.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with a team of five Technology Owners and report directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Maintenance, Operations, Environmental, Health & Safety, and QFS, and be based full-time at our Wrexham Manufacturing Plant.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Data-Driven Improvement – Analyse equipment loss data to identify and prioritise improvement initiatives.
  • Root Cause Analysis – Lead root cause investigations using Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and implement sustainable countermeasures.
  • Cost Optimisation – Drive cost-saving projects and efficiency improvements.
  • Capability Building – Develop and deliver equipment-specific training, standards, and procedures to build operational capability.
  • Autonomous Maintenance Support – Support the site’s Autonomous Maintenance (AM) journey by coaching operators and contributing to AM projects.
  • Cross-Functional Training – Train support functions on equipment functionality and assist in technical investigations.
  • Maintenance Enhancement – Collaborate with Reliability Engineers to enhance Routine Maintenance (RM) processes.
  • Opportunity Pipeline – Facilitate loss identification workshops to maintain a robust pipeline of improvement opportunities.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With:

  • Strong technical or operational background, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in a plant-based role with a focus on equipment performance.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and CI methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel and SAP.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently.
