Title:  Electrical Services Engineer

Description: 

As an Electrical Services Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems across the site. You’ll lead the maintenance and improvement of electrical assets, while providing technical support for LV and HV distribution systems as well as lighting infrastructure.

You will be based on site at our Wrexham plant, and you will report directly to the Reliability Manager and work closely with the Mechanical Services Engineer to manage the complete site services provision. You will supervise a team of five multi-skilled maintenance engineers, assigning tasks to ensure effective and timely completion of maintenance activities in the services area.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Planning for Reliability – Develop and plan all electrical maintenance activities for the services area, focusing on compliance and reliability.
  • Ensuring Compliance – Develop and control documentation for utilities and services plant to meet all relevant legislation.
  • Leading Maintenance Execution – Manage craft and contractor resources to deliver the maintenance plan and respond to breakdowns, supporting plant KPIs.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement – Identify and execute projects that enhance reliability, reduce costs, and improve energy efficiency.
  • Shaping Future Investments – Identify capital investment needs early and contribute to the site’s long-range capital planning.
  • Building Team Capability – Own the team development plan, including skills gap analysis and training initiatives.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With 

 

  • A technical engineering qualification and relevant experience
  • AP status or actively working towards SAP accreditation
  • A solid understanding of Distribution Safety Rules (DSR)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to formulate and execute strategies effectively
