Title:  Safety Advisor

Description: 

We are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our team based on-site at our Manufacturing Plant at Botany. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and development of best practices for Injury Management and return to work planning as well as supporting the execution of safety programs across our ANZ operations.  

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support the Health and Safety Manager to execute and deliver health and safety programs
  • Support preventative health and ergonomic projects, including working with onsite physiotherapists and arranging ongoing health assessments
  • Manage emergency procedures including training to teams and overseeing mandatory evacuation drills
  • Complete a variety of reports including injury rate reports, serious incident events and government regulatory information as required to name a few
  • Support the coordination and facilitation of fundamental safety training on procedure and best practice
  • Work closely with technical and maintenance managers to oversee safety risk assessments for all capital projects and major maintenance at the Botany plant
  • Conduct health and safety audits regularly
  • Support the return to work and injury management process across Australia and New Zealand

 

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

If you are passionate about people and safety then this could be the role for you. We are looking for an experienced Safety professional who thrives when developing robust safety guidelines and possesses the skills to have an always on focus for preventative action. You will enjoy working with a variety of different people across the business, in an environment where no two days are the same. 


You will have: 

  • A minimum of 3 years Safety experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable however not essential
  • RTW certification is preferred
  • Previous experience working with injury management and health and safety compliance
  • The ability to promote positive health and safety behaviors, always looking to drive a safety culture
  • Strong communication skills, possessing the ability to develop meaningful relationships and influence at all levels in the business
