Title: Reliability Engineer - Mechanical
The role of Reliability Engineer (mechanical) is responsible for identifying and implementing ongoing reliability improvements on assigned systems.
We have been manufacturing our breakfast range from our Botany plant for over 100 years! Our manufacturing facility has obviously gone through many changes, extensions & modifications over this time. As we fuel for growth, this role will form part of the team ensuring that the plant continues to sustain production and evolve so we continue to produce our iconic cereals for many more years to come!
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Responsibility for assigned system & technology performance
- Working cross-functionally with Maintenance and Operations to develop and implement system improvement plans
- Value and tack improvement activities to ensure committed results are achieved
- Create and maintain knowledge database to ensure learning are documented and shared with teams across the plant
- Coach and qualify Production Operators and Maintenance teams to improve their knowledge on the systems to improve defect identification and rectification
- Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including our lean manufacturing model (KWS) processes, auditing quality of work against required standards
We’re Looking for Someone With
This role would suit an Engineer who is proactive and thrives in environments where you can use your knowledge to make clear assessments to make strategic decisions to ensure plant operations. You will have:
- Engineering degree or Mechanical Trade certificate
- Experience in an industrial environment ideally gained from an FMCG manufacturing environment
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- A key part of this role will be for you to pass on your experience and knowledge to internal teams through documentation or instructional videos so good communication skills are essential
- Excellent problem solving abilities who can work cross functionally with operational teams to get the job done
