Title:  Food Safety Coordinator

Description: 

Based at our manufacturing site at Botany, the Food Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the high Quality and Food Safety standards are upheld & adhered, with a particular focus on sanitation of the plant.
 
You will work in an environment that prides itself on protecting its reputation by ensuring our products are of premium quality to maintain customer satisfaction!

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accountable for the review, development and updating of the quality and food safety procedures and standards in collaboration with both the Quality and Food Safety Managers
  • Ensuring all documentation relating to quality in the plant is current and updated
  • Ensuring the plant meets all required quality and food safety laws, regulations and Kellogg corporate policies
  • Working closely with the Quality and Food Safety Managers in the preparation for internal and external quality audit
  • Assists in conducting daily and monthly sanitation and GMP audits
  • Ensuring quality assurance standards as maintained by all raw & packing material suppliers

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

We are looking for someone passionate about food and quality. This role could suit a candidate with a previous background in Quality, or alternatively a graduate looking for their first role within a large FMCG organization. 

 

You will have: 

  • Degree qualified in Food Science/Technology or related discipline
  • Previous experience in either a quality assurance, food safety or production roles is desirable however we would gladly consider a new graduate with a passion for Food Safety
  • A sound technical knowledge or quality and food safety applications
  • Ability to manage effectively a range of different and often competing tasks
  • High level attention to detail
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills – at all levels
  • Strong aptitude for systems
