Title: Sr. Brand Manager

Function & Business Unit: Marketing / Kellogg Korea

Location: Seoul office

Reports to: Associate Director – Marketing

 

  • Primary Function / Why does the job exist?

Initiate, execute and coordinate assigned marketing projects to achieve annual and long-term marketing objectives.

 

  • Working Relationships / Reports to whom?
    • Reports to: Associate Director – Marketing
    • Works closely and contact regularly with advertising, media, promotions, public relations, artwork design & production agencies, premium vendors, and other suppliers to give directions and be fully responsible for coordination, execution and monitoring of marketing programs
    • Communicates and collaborates effectively with all internal departments including international partners and with agencies / vendors or third parties.
    • The role works directly with local agencies, third party, and also with global agencies, co-partners and Kellogg’s global network.  Work place is mainly office but on certain meetings and promotions, outdoors and weekends/holidays attendance is needed for supervision.

    • Achievement of targeted brand volumes, NSV, market shares, brand /equity/ ad awareness, and agreed objectives of marketing programs
    • Control of marketing expenditures of advertising & media, consumer/trade promotions, artwork development, PR and research

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Principal Duties & Responsibilities / These should represent the “core” of the job duties.
  • Overall: Brand managing + Innovation
  • Prepare and agree the annual volume and investment plan for the brands managed.  On an ongoing basis, monitor and review this plan to ensure performance vs. objectives and efficient use of resources to achieve the established goals
  • Work with the internal counterpart (Trade marketing & sales team), creative agency, media agency locally ensuring the most efficient use of investment through a variety of communication channels
  • Work with Innovation manager to prepare and execute Innovation launch plans in market, as approved by the Area.  Provide input to Innovation manager for [SB3.1]Lead and initiate all new product launch. In charge of entire innovation process from PDR to LAM/ PIR.
  • Initiate to propose the research and/or help execute local research projects as required
  • Undertake brand analysis as requested as part of the annual planning cycle
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing, KAM and sales in local market for Marketing Operation to ensure effective execution of actions at point of sale
  • Continuously monitor brand performance and competitor activity, proactively reacting to changes and threats; be able to provide estimations and forecasting about volume and share
  • Manage the day-to-day business processes for the brands to ensure effective and efficient business management (e.g. budget management, IBP process, Category Review process, etc.)
  • Respond to data requests from Area Marketing as required

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Preferred Education & Experience
    • University degree, preferably with specialist studies in marketing
    • Minimum 7 years of consumer marketing experience.
  • Knowledge Requirement for this Position
    • Ability to write fluently in English and the possession of strong oral presentation skills
