Title:  Assistant Food Technologist

As an Assistant Food Technologist, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing food products that align with market trends and consumer preferences. You will be responsible for creating new recipes, refining existing ones, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and profitability. This role will be based across our Culinary Centre in Trafford Park (moving to our Dragon warehouse in Haydock in July) and our Media City office, with occasional opportunities to work from home depending on project needs.

You will have the opportunity to work on well-known brands including Krave / Tresor, Coco Pops, Rice Krispies and Kellogg’s, as part of the Kids, Teens & K Snacks R&D team reporting to the R&D Director. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to take projects from concept through to launch, ensuring smooth execution and efficient delivery.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

• Innovation - Developing new products and processes, as well as improving existing recipes, through work in the kitchen and pilot plant.
• Testing - Running plant trials for new products and coordinating first production runs to ensure successful scale-up.
• Research - Exploring consumer trends, market insights and emerging technologies to support the creation of new product concepts.
• Procurement- Selecting raw materials and ingredients and preparing product costings to ensure products meet quality and profitability targets.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Experience in a Food Technologist role or similar product development position. 
• A passion for creative product development within the food industry.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset, with a strong focus on keeping the consumer at the heart of everything we do.
