Title: Sanitation Supervisor
At our Rome, Georgia manufacturing facility, we’re seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to strengthen and sustain a best‑in‑class sanitation program that supports safe, high‑quality food production. This on‑site role partners closely with Operations and Quality Food Safety to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met across the plant while leading a team of union associates.
This position is ideal for a determined problem solver who acts with integrity, takes accountability seriously, and is adaptable in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. The role works an overnight schedule from 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with extended hours and weekends as needed , supporting continuous operations.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Compliance & Food Safety Excellence – Ensure execution of the master sanitation schedule while supporting all quality and food safety programs to maintain regulatory, customer, and corporate compliance.
- Sanitation & Allergen Program Management– Partner cross‑functionally with Quality Food Safety, Operations, and Maintenance to effectively manage sanitation and allergen control programs.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership – Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support plant key performance indicators (KPIs), efficiency, and sanitation effectiveness.
- Safety & Risk Prevention – Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to corporate, regulatory, and customer safety requirements for employees and visitors.
- People Leadership – Lead, train, develop, and support a team of 10–30 union associates, ensuring they have the proper tools, training, and chemical inventory to be successful.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or GED with demonstrated sanitation experience
- Knowledge of chemical usage, handling, and safety procedures
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of general industrial safety requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to problem‑solve, prioritize work, and lead teams
- Flexibility to work off‑shifts, nights, and weekends as required
Compensation
The annual salary range is $75,400 - $98,910, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
