Title: Autonomous Reliability Coordinator
Are you passionate about improving equipment reliability, solving problems, and helping teams achieve better performance? As an Autonomous Reliability Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting and advancing our Autonomous Maintenance (AM) program by working closely with operators, maintenance teams, and plant leadership to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and strengthen operational excellence throughout the bakery.
This is an onsite, hourly union position based at our Rome, GA bakery, working Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with flexibility based on business needs. The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $28.96. In this role, you'll use your manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement mindset to build operator capability, improve equipment ownership, and help drive sustainable results in a 24/7 production environment.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Support Autonomous Maintenance Activities – Lead and support Autonomous Maintenance initiatives by training operators on equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, basic equipment care, and early identification of abnormalities.
- Coach & Develop Operators – Create and maintain training materials, develop standard work, and provide hands-on coaching that helps operators build confidence and capability in maintaining equipment performance.
- Improve Equipment Reliability – Monitor key performance metrics, identify opportunities to reduce equipment losses, and partner with production and maintenance teams to improve uptime and equipment effectiveness.
- Solve Problems & Drive Continuous Improvement – Utilize Lean principles and structured problem-solving tools to identify root causes, reduce recurring issues, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Track Results & Build Standardization – Maintain documentation, reporting tools, and performance tracking systems that support Autonomous Maintenance activities and continuous improvement efforts.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, or supporting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement, TPM, Autonomous Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience using problem-solving tools such as 5 Why analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, or root cause analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, including lockout/tagout and OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to understand equipment operation, equipment performance measures, and manufacturing processes.
