Purpose of the role |
|
The function is three-fold: (a) provide PCIS (power, control, and information system) support to site, eliminate PCIS-related technical breakdowns and optimization of process and packing equipment OEE. (b) plan preventive maintenance activities and improvement works for technicians to carry out associated task with all PCIS assets. (c) coach and lead a team of PCIS technicians working on shifts. (d) lead small improvement projects in plant on PCIS discipline working with process and packing equipment site leads. (e) support major capital projects with regional project teams to ensure smooth hand over to the plant team.
Start-Up Function: Auxiliary and didactic function in ensuring correct execution of the electrical aspects of CQV. |

A Taste of What You’ll be doing |
|
Time-based and condition-based preventive maintenance (service, troubleshooting breakdown on PLC and field devices, calibration, setup, configuration) of PCIS-related factory assets (AC/DC-based equipment electrical starters, drivers and motors, MCC and control panel, automation system, and process instrumentation) Responsible for electrical safety of mentioned assets. Attend and rectify technical breakdown. Analyze and eliminate root cause associated with technical downtime. Maintain plant equipment PLC, HMI, drives program with Rockwell Factorytalk asset center software tools configured in the plant. Ensure the scheduled back up system works properly to have updated copies of software. Plan and execute engineering design (preliminary system review, design) with support and inputs from regional PCIS engineers. Coach and lead a small team PCIS technicians in preventive maintenance activities and technical downtime root cause analysis and elimination. Supervise contractor’s work in electrical construction for minor factory CAPEX investment. Plan for smart factory/opc servers patching activities with IT sustainment team without interrupting system downtime. Manage plant digital system access such as smart factory, historian etc. Lead OT cyber security system to guide internal and external PCIS resource to connect OT system network following regional/global cybersecurity guidelines. Work with Electrical engineer to support power utility system (MV/LV switchgear to MCC panel, etc) Project Responsibilities: Assist in resolving PCIS-related issues during CQV. Assist in setup or configuration of Ethernet/IP-based devices, digital sensors and analog transmitters) Line-tracing based on P&ID drawings and verification of equipment tagging during electrical construction. Verify functionality of line automation system. Troubleshooting MCC panels, Flex I/O panels, instrumentation and PLC logic. Able to work on digitization system – OPC connection to PLCs, basic PLC logic, HMI tags creation.

Minimum qualification with diploma or higher in bachelor of degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics. Technical experience in the following systems: Programmable logic controllers and touchscreen operator panel, preferably Allen-Bradley ControlLogix-based controller and Panel View system. Digital sensory devices (e.g. capacitive/inductive/ magnetic/photoelectric sensor, electropneumatic actuator, etc) Analog based (4-20 mA) process devices (e.g. load cell, RTD, piezoelectric, differential pressure, hydrostatic, radar, electropneumatic positioner, control valves, etc) Ethernet-based communication devices (switch, data server, drives variable speed) Full reading/drawing literacy of single-line diagram and control panel electrical wiring diagram. Numerical literacy of basic electrical engineering (motor power, electrical load, cable sizing) and process engineering (basic mathematics related to the physics of pressure, temperature, level, force, etc) Familiar with OPC tags for digitization system connectivity checks. Power distribution system and electrical safety regulation Preferably with some process literacy in HVAC, compressed air supply, utility gas supply, potable and wastewater treatment
