Title: External Manufacturing Planner
Join Kellanova Canada as an External Manufacturing Planner (12 Month Contract). This role is responsible for planning and managing Value Added Services as well as external manufacturing production end to end (including direct packing materials ordering). You will have the opportunity to work with our US teams as needed to manage changes to plans through the S&OE process and request adjustments to production plans to support Value Added Service made to order production. Communication is key in this role as you work with Customer Service and Sales teams to troubleshoot and product supply issues. This is a hybrid role based out of our Mississauga head office.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- External Manufacturing Planning – Support external manufacturing planning and execution end to end. Plan production for Value Added Services to deliver case fill rate while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. Lead weekly schedule review meetings with service providers to meet demand requirements.
- Risk Reporting – Daily communication of reports or risk reports for Value Added Services. Anticipate and resolve any production-related issues, such as equipment breakdowns, quality deviations, or material shortages, in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
- Cross Functional Collaboration - Partner with demand planning and sales to mitigate risks around forecast variability and inventory levels on skus. Provide information on length of inventory shortages and root causes.
- Data Analytics – Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to reduce overall external manufacturing cost of service and working capital and effectively deal with long/short inventory situations.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Post secondary education in Supply Chain or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Supply Planning or similarly related experience within Supply Chain Planning (Demand Planning, Master Production Scheduling, etc.) in a CPG environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food industry and exceptional change management skills.
- Experience in SAP, MS Office, Tableau and familiar with scheduling systems.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, interpersonal, financial, communication and influencing skills.
