Title: Domestic Transport Leader - 12 months fixed term contract

As our Domestic Transport Leader, you’ll play a key role in leading our domestic transportation operations in Germany for a fixed-term contract, 12 months. You’ll manage a team of planners, optimize freight execution, and drive continuous improvement in cost and service. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & Inspire – Coach and support a team of 4 domestic transport planners to deliver daily transport plans with excellence.
- Optimize Freight Execution – Ensure timely and cost-effective organization of freight resources.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with customer service, procurement, costing, and planning teams to meet service level expectations.
- Drive Supplier Performance – Act as the escalation point for haulers management and ensure optimal cost and service outcomes.
- Shape Strategy – Contribute to the annual tender process with insights and analysis to balance cost and service.
- Champion Improvement – Identify and implement process enhancements and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Leverage Data – Use reporting and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Experience in logistics coordination, transport planning, or supply chain planning.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Transport Management Systems and ERP tools (e.g., SAP).
- Solid understanding of transportation regulations and industry practices.
