Title:  Senior Production Supervisor

Description: 

Step into the pivotal role of Senior Production Supervisor at our Grand Rapids, MI, plant, where your foresight shapes the future of food production. This on-site position places you at the heart of operations, collaborating with a team dedicated to excellence in food manufacturing.

 

You’ll lead the charge in refining processes, championing cost-effective strategies without compromising on our high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Your leadership will guide a dynamic team through daily processing and packaging operations through the core hours from 6:15 AM to 3:15 PM (flexibility is required).

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set the Pace- Directing all activities for your production line(s) in accordance with goals, product standards, costs, budgets, manpower, and established procedures 
  • Impact Results- Identifying opportunities to eliminatecost and/or waste through applying Kellanova Work Systems (KWS/TPM) principles as well as driving Continuous Improvement activity throughout the facility 
  • Take a New Angle- Identifying, developing, and implementing best practices for safety, quality, and equipment maintenance using problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate operational issues 
  • Collaborate to Win- Incorporate a culture of inclusion and continuity within all departments, while acting as champion for operations
  • Drive Efficiency- Performing schedule adherence monitoring and make necessary adjustments due to downtime, inventory, demand, and projection fluctuations. Additionally, manage unplanned downtime through proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance 

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in developing operational teams while multi-tasking and prioritizing requests from multiple sources
  • Proven experience coaching and driving continuous improvement projects
  • Knowledge of managing safety and/or quality programs & processes 
  • Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Manufacturing experience in a union environment and Food & Beverage industry preferred

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $72,600 - $95,340, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
