Title:  Engineering Project Manager

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for engineering excellence? Join our team as an Engineering Project Manager and lead the execution of capital projects across our Sweet Snacking facilities. In this high-impact role, you’ll manage engineering and construction activities from concept through startup—leveraging your financial acumen, organizational skills, and technical leadership to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

 

This is a high-visibility opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams at both plant and corporate levels. You’ll drive innovation, process optimization, and continuous improvement across all engineering initiatives while influencing how we scale and modernize our operations.

 

This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL; Battle Creek, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Rome, GA; or Muncy, PA, with 40% travel expected.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Capital Project Execution – Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects, including scope development, forecasting, planning, and execution, while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with design engineers, plant teams, contractors, and external service providers (ESPs) to drive accountability, streamline execution, and deliver results.
  • Stakeholder Alignment – Engage internal stakeholders to ensure project priorities are clear, risks are proactively managed, and milestones are met.
  • Budget & ROI Management – Own project budgets with disciplined forecasting, cost control, and return-on-investment analysis to maximize value and compliance.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4+ years of capital project execution experience, or HS diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated success supervising contractors and executing projects under various contracting strategies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, including mechanical, electrical, and equipment systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint) and experience with SAP.
  • Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, risk, and change control processes with precision and discipline.

 

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $115,400 - $151,410, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
