Title: Plant Scheduler
Join our Team as Plant Scheduler In this role, you will be responsible for generating the weekly production plan shift by shift, ensuring that monthly volume commitments are met. You will manage the balance of meals across the weekly schedule, coordinate closely with operations to update and align plans, and guarantee service objectives are achieved (attainment, adherence, and volume bias).
You will also oversee weekly volume adjustments, manage carryovers and advances between weeks, and identify solutions to address increases in demand. A key part of this role is ensuring that open stock is minimized and fully integrated into production within the same month, avoiding obsolete inventory and reducing cost impact. This role is essential to ensuring smooth production execution, alignment with service teams, and cost efficiency.
This position does not have direct reports and is based in Bogota
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Production Planning: Develop and manage the weekly production and packaging plan, shift by shift, ensuring alignment with monthly targets.
- Balance Management: Coordinate week-to-week balances and advances, guaranteeing full execution and understanding of the plan across all service areas.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain direct communication with line leaders and service teams to secure adherence to the production plan and daily priorities.
- Open Stock Control: Minimize open stock and ensure it is consumed within the same month to reduce cost impact.
- Performance Alignment: Align service performance indicators (attainment, adherence, and volume bias) with the Product Availability team through DDS3 meetings and continuous monitoring.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced expertise in Excel.
- Strong leadership skills (required).
- Knowledge of production planning (preferred).
