Title: Finance Assistant
Are you looking to build a career in finance while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As a Finance Assistant at our Wrexham Plant, you'll play a key role in supporting the site's financial operations, helping to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strong financial controls across the business. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider plant teams, you'll gain valuable exposure to budgeting, month-end activities, invoicing, and financial administration.
Based at our Wrexham manufacturing site, this role offers the opportunity to develop your finance skills while collaborating with colleagues across operations and support functions. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, has a strong eye for detail, and is eager to grow their career within finance.
A Taste of What You'll Be Doing
- Invoice Reconciliation – Manage and reconcile invoices and receipts, ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and processed efficiently
- Month-End Support – Assist with the preparation and posting of journals to support month-end close activities and budgeting processes.
- Customer Invoicing – Process ad-hoc customer invoices, ensuring timely, accurate billing and appropriate documentation.
- Financial Tracking & Reporting – Maintain expense trackers and support the monitoring of financial data to help drive accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Plant & Compliance Support – Contribute to food reviews, plant standard walks, Golden 6 audits, and the maintenance of finance procedures and documentation.
We're Looking for Someone With
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
- Strong numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working in an administrative, finance, or business support environment.
- Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system would be advantageous.
