Title:  Technical Shift Line Lead

Description: 

As our Technical Shift Line Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our production lines while leading and developing a team of multiskilled technicians. Based at our Wrexham manufacturing site, you'll be the key link between the shift craft team and the wider Maintenance function, helping to deliver exceptional results across safety, quality, service and cost.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on technical leadership with people development and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams, driving reliability, capability building and operational excellence while making a visible impact on site performance

A Taste of What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading Shift Maintenance Teams – Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to a team of multiskilled technicians, fostering a high-performing and safety-focused culture.  
  • Coordinating Maintenance Execution – Manage maintenance priorities, breakdown response and shift maintenance plans to maximise equipment availability and operational performance
  • Driving Reliability Improvement – Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, throughput and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Supporting Capability Development – Facilitate training plans, skills matrices and ongoing development activities to build technical capability across the team.
  • Championing Safety And Compliance – Ensure high standards of safety, food safety and compliance are maintained across all maintenance activities.

 

We're Looking for Someone With

  • Technical or Engineering qualification, or equivalent maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment.  
  • Strong maintenance planning and equipment reliability knowledge.
  • Experience using SAP or a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).  
  • Knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety, GMP and Food Safety requirements.
