POSITION OUTLINE

 

 

1.  PURPOSE

        Why the position exists?  The main function of the position

 

 

    • Strengthen the People Capabilities through deploying structured systems of work and KWS tools to improve the operational performance   of the manufacturing site.
    • Develop KWS site master plan and progress phases for each KWS centers

Kellogg Work System (KWS): This is defined capability building program in Kellogg, with concept from TPM, this intends to eliminate losses and standardize work process to build sustainable capability. 

 

 

2.  WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

        Other positions reporting to the same supervisor.

 

  • AMEA KWS team
  • KWS lead at each manufacturing site
  • Site KWS team in Takasaki plant
  • Plant leadership team in Japan

4.  PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  1.

Application or use of knowledge to solve problems.

    • Understand global KWS playbook and define standards to deploy to the site
    • Develop site KWS master plan and make progress as per plan
    • Work with each KWS center leads and develop action plan
    • Provide coaching to each KWS center lead and team member to build their capability
    • Calibrate site progression versus global KWS assessment tool
    • Learn best practice from region/other sites and reapply to the site
    • Report KWS progression at site
    • Be member of plant leadership team to define organization direction
    • Convince organization to adopt KWS methodology for operation
    • Business trip to other country

 

5.  POSITION REQUIREMENTS

        Skills, education, experience or other qualifications which would be required for anyone who would fill the job.  If listed as required must be a true job requirement.  You may also want to indicate qualifications that would be preferred and/or helpful.

      • Experience leading TPM programs, strong knowledge of Six Sigma principles, and tools such as DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Zero Loss Analysis processes and a strong understanding of Autonomous Maintenance methodology and application
      • Operation / capability building experience
      • People management
      • Strong English language skills
