Title: Operations Manager - Night Shift
We’re looking for a Site Operations Manager to join our team based at our iconic Botany manufacturing site on night shift. Producing our expansive range of ready-to-eat cereals, this role provides leadership and direction to our core site operations teams to ensure the achievement of key operational goals. With a focus on Safety, Quality, Service and Cost and driving efficiencies across these core metrics, you will also work with the teams to set the future culture with a strong focus on safety and food safety culture.

You will work as part of this team to support strategic plant plans and objectives to set the site up for the future. As a strong people leader you will ensure that our people are accountable, engaged and have the right capabilities for now and into the future.
A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing:-
- Providing leadership, structure and resources to shape the culture across the site, focusing on safety, food safety, quality and employee engagement
- Developing and implementing strategies and plans to build leadership and technical capabilities across the Botany based team
- Leading the Site Operations teams to comply with all company and legislative quality, food safety and health & safety policies and procedures
- Delivery of the Botany Plant key performance measures and service standards including OEE, Waste, R&M and Value Innovation
- Manage the employer relations strategy and the plant, driving initiatives and actions to ensure positive ER within the plant
- Responsible for site-based warehousing activities
- Ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are adhered to within their scope of responsibility, including the reporting of food safety incidents and adherence to requirements to ensure the integrity of the product is maintained
- Responsibility for total manufacturing, manufacturing and site warehouse operating budgets (Labour hours, costs). Responsible for developing both short term and long-term productivity cost savings plans
Your Recipe For Success: -
You will have a strong track record of success working in a Manufacturing environment – ideally food or beverage, coupled with tertiary qualifications in either manufacturing, engineering, supply chain or related disciplines. A working knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and processes is essential.
An exceptional people leader you will have previous experience in the delivery of cultural change programs across quality, safety and employee engagement. Your ability to engage with people and bring them on a journey and have coaching conversations when needed will see you drive successful outcomes for all parties.
This is a large and complex site producing big volumes and operating 24x7, so someone who can manage complexity with strong problem-solving abilities, negotiation and decision-making skills. You will be a confident communicator at all levels.
