Title:  Maintenance Stores Manager

Based at our manufacturing site at Botany, the role of Maintenance Stores Manager plays a key role in ensuring maintenance teams have the right tools and parts on hand to carry out their preventative and reactive works. This is done through the effective inventory management and ordering of spare parts for this 24x7 site. 
 
You will be a part of a team that prides itself on a strong history of production of our well-loved breakfast cereals right here in Australia!   


A taste of what you’ll be doing:-

  • Provide leadership and daily direction of three storepersons
  • Manage ordering for all stock and non-stock parts on site through stores team, monitor delivery times and follow up to ensure parts are available as required
  • Ensure parts kitting is complete to support Maintenance planning and scheduling functions
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Sourcing and Accounts Payable teams to ensure orders are placed with supplier, fulfilled and paid on time
  • Support the Maintenance Manager with the implementation of Continuous improvement programme by leading the Maintenance Stores project stream
  • Work with Maintenance staff to continuously review the store inventory level to reduce store budget by identifying deleted items, redundant parts due to replacing, renewing or making a system redundant in the plant, adding new parts as identified & maintaining SAP Bill of Materials for all spare parts

 
Your recipe for success:-
With previous Maintenance Stores Management or Order Fulfilment experience it’s ideal that you will have had experience across the full lifecycle of ordering, receipting & issuing of goods.  Previous working experience in a similar role within FMCG & food manufacturing would be highly advantageous as you will understand the Quality & Food Safety, GMP and sanitation requirements.
A trade qualification is also advantageous, either mechanical or electrical to ensure the parts kitting process is effective.
