Title:  Food Safety Leader


The name might be different but our iconic range remains the same and includes Nutri-Grain, Special K, Sultana Bran and Coco Pops, LCMs and Pringles.  Our purpose drives what we do, to create better days and a place at the table for everyone through our trusted food brands.


Based at our manufacturing site at Botany, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the role of Food Safety Lead is accountable for leading activities that are related to all food safety programs and incidents


You will work in an environment that prides itself on protecting its reputation by ensuring our products are of premium quality to maintain customer satisfaction!


A taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure that the Botany facility adheres to and meets all required Quality and food safety laws, regulations and corporate policies
  • Ensures the development, compliance and certification of all food safety pre-requisite programs for the site
  • Responsible for the annual pathogen validation, environment monitoring and allergen validations programs of the facility
  • Accountable for all food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs
  • Provide support before and during all internal and external Quality and Food Safety Audits
  • Review, maintain and update all documentation relating to food safety
  • Management of all food safety incidents including adverse events
  • Management and development of a Food Quality Coordinator 


Your recipe for success:

  • Degree qualification in either Food Science/Technology, Microbiology or equivalent
  • HACCP certification is required
  • A strong career track record in Food safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills – route cause analysis relating to food safety incidents
  • An effective team player with the ability to work with teams at all levels
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel & Powerpoint
