Your role or Scope

  • Monthly reporting to Supply Chain leadership teams and Regional Supply Chain teams. Prepare and execute period end closing tasks at the required standard, and time scales, and deliver accurate reports on time.
  • Lead cost deep dives with the unit managers to gain and understand of what has been charged by 3rd party service providers and make sure that only accurate and verified costs have been booked into the system.
  • Drive monitoring and reduction of stock losses due to theft, stock expiry and damages by highlighting cases of stock that is soon to expire, level of damages reported in a period and the main drivers of the damage to stock, and levels of west that is reported for any other reasons.
  • Drive interaction with 3rd party warehouse management team to drive optimisation of operations and costs in distribution.
  • Driving current savings tracking with Supply Chain partners, gap closing plan vs actual, and formulation of new projects to create sustainable continues improvement in the business.
  • Engage with Distribution Operations Managers to understand business needs, manage costs and proactively drive improved business insight and decision making through robust financial analysis and reporting.
  • Provide insightful interpretation and analysis to understand key trends, fuel changes and lane mix changes that may affect future cost.
  • Build effective business relationships and gain credibility as a true business expert. You will have an entrepreneurial mind-set and the ability to provide financial insights that improve performance.
  • Deliver ad hoc projects and analysis as required from time to time.
  • BOM loading and new material creation. Update of changes to the system information (Master Data).
  • Attend Quarterly Stock count ensuring 100% adherence to signed off SOP
  • Manufacturing work may be added when and as needed.

DIMENSIONS, EDUCATION & RELEVANT YEARS JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

This section describes necessary levels of education, experience, dimensions (skills) and management training necessary for acceptable performance in the position.

EDUCATION & RELEVANT YEARS JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CMA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years in a supply chain role.
  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning, financial analysis, and driving financial performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to change

 

 

DIMENSIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and financial reporting software.
