Electrical Business Partner
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Business Partner in our Springs Plant, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
In this role as an Electrical Business Partner at Kellanova, you will provide specialist technical support for plant software, instrumentation, and control systems, while leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant efficiency, safety, and asset performance.
- A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide specialist support for PLC systems, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Perform maintenance, calibration, inspection, testing, adjustment, and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA processes to resolve equipment failures and prevent reoccurrence.
- Backup and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI systems, and databases.
- Maintain and optimise VSDs, Ethernet, and Device Net networks.
- Support locally engineered projects, new system developments, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with QA systems, GMP, HACCP, ISO, and OHS requirements.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality for both internal teams and external contractors.
- Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and manage plant control systems, software and hardware, instrumentation, data networks, and revision controls.
- Implement preventative, predictive, and improvement-focused maintenance programs.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks and log all work accurately in SAP.
- Identify, document, and manage critical spares and stockholding.
- Develop maintenance schedules, plant equipment standards, and functional specifications for new projects.
- Control expenditure within the electrical maintenance budget.
- Participate in and lead projects aimed at improving OAE, plant availability, and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and recommend suitable applications.
- Technical qualification (N5) with Trade Certificate and Wireman’s Licence
- Recognised Electrical Technician apprenticeship
- Up to 8 years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
- 2–3 years at a supervisory level
- Experience using a CMMS (e.g. SAP PM)
- Sufficient / in depth, knowledge of:
- PLCS: Allen Bradley, Omron, Schneider (programming & fault finding)
- SCADA and HMI (Wonderware, PanelView)
- Instrumentation and burner control systems
- Electrical circuitry troubleshooting and system configuration
- Project management and factory operations
- High-speed FMCG production line experience
