Title: Import & Export Analyst

In this role, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring foreign trade operations, ensuring the continuous supply of raw materials, packaging materials, samples, MRO items, and finished goods. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver seamless, compliant, and cost-efficient import and export processes.
A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage Import Operations: Execute and coordinate import activities for raw materials, packaging materials, samples, MRO items, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with regulations and on-time execution.
- Monitor Orders and Service Levels: Track order fulfillment, monitor lead times, and provide timely visibility to customers and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and operational performance.
- Coordinate Customs Documentation: Obtain, review, and manage all documentation required for import transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations.
- Oversee International Shipments: Coordinate shipment bookings, transportation arrangements, and cargo tracking activities from origin to final destination.
- Control Costs and Drive Savings Opportunities: Monitor international freight and customs clearance expenses, ensuring adherence to negotiated rates while supporting cost-reduction initiatives.
- Develop Reports and Performance Metrics: Prepare foreign trade KPIs and management reports, while supporting periodic performance reviews with customs brokers and logistics providers.
- Support Process Standardization and Continuous Improvement: Document import procedures, contribute to operational standardization, and support knowledge sharing and training activities.
- Collaborate Across Functions and External Partners: Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Tax, Legal, Government Relations, customs brokers, logistics providers, and government agencies to ensure operational excellence.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in International Trade, Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Brazilian customs regulations, foreign trade processes, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced/Fluent English and Portuguese.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
