Title:  Utilities and Facilities Manager

Description: 

As the Facilities and Utilities Manager at our San Jose, CA plant, you will take the lead in maintaining and optimizing our facility and equipment. Embracing an ownership mindset, you will oversee critical systems, drive operational excellence, and ensure the seamless functionality of all aspects of our facilities and utilities. Your role will be pivotal in implementing and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and reliability.

Reporting directly to our Senior Manager of Engineering and Facilities, this role offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Technical Improvements: Lead efforts to maintain and enhance facility infrastructure and grounds, including wastewater treatment, ammonia systems, fire systems, construction, and contractor management.
  • Project Management: Identify and execute projects to continuously improve our facilities and utilities systems, as well as enhance our natural resource conservation deliverables.
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee contractors and coordinate with plant maintenance, engineering, production, operations, and external services to achieve broader facility goals.
  • Compliance & Safety: Improve personnel and food safety through infrastructure upgrades while ensuring adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or significant work experience in related areas
  • Comprehensive technical background in a related field or role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Plant project management, construction and contractor management, communication, budgeting, and excellent human relations skills
  • Self-Driven work ethic, with the willingness to be on-call and work holidays as we capitalize on operational downtimes for the advancement of the facility
  • Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge

 

Compensation

The annual salary range is $133,016-$182,897, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
