Quality Technologist – Manufacturing and Innovation

 

At Kellanova, we’re not just in the business of snacks; we’re in the business of transforming moments.  As a Quality Technologist within the quality manufacturing team, you will collate and coordinate documentation from our co-manufacturing sites and update material specifications, image defect reference manuals and supporting documentation in the system, to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

 

Your 12-month fixed term contract will be hybrid, with a minimum of 2 days per week from our Media City, Salford office and the remainder working remotely.  This is an amazing opportunity for someone with an interest in a career within the food safety and quality sector, where you will have the ability to work on both the operational side as well as exciting projects.  Depending on performance, you can become a permanent member of the Kellanova team and have the opportunity to grow and progress into further positions within the quality team, a variety of roles within the Research and Development team or within our food safety team, based at either our corporate sites or our plants. This role offers many excellent benefits for you including annual bonuses, summer hours and flexible working plus more. 

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Specification Reviews – You will work with our contract manufacturers to obtain all updated specification information and supporting documentation to facilitate material specification review.
  • Quality Documentation – Supporting the team by ensuring that all specifications, databases and regulatory documentation are consistently up to date and accurate.
  • Analyse Food Safety processes – This role requires someone who can take our food safety processes back to basics, analysing the current ways of working, making improvements where possible.
  • Food Reviews - Arranging food reviews for multifunctional teams to review products against Image Defect Reference Manual.  Setting up tasting sessions, collecting samples and taking pictures to analyse any potential areas of improvement.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • A science or engineering degree
  • Good skills in the use of Microsoft office
  • An ability to handle data to reach conclusions and make recommendations.
