Title:  Assistant Food Designer

As an Assistant Food Technologist on a 12-month fixed-term month fixed term contract, you’ll contribute to the development and optimisation of some of the UK’s most loved cereal and snack brands.

Based at our Culinary Centre in Trafford Park, with travel to manufacturing sites and occasional remote working, this role offers a unique opportunity to work on products like Rice Krispies Squares, Krave, Coco Pops, and more. Some overseas travel may be required, including occasional weekend or night shifts, to support production trials in line with plant schedules. You’ll report directly to the Senior Food Designer Productivity and Network Optimisation for our Snacks Brands.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

• Recipe optimisation - Bring innovative ideas to optimise recipes in our kitchen and pilot plant.
• Testing – Support plant trials and ensure accurate data collection to meet success criteria.
• Research – Analyse recipe changes and trial outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Procurement – Assist in selecting raw materials and preparing costings to ensure product profitability.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Experience in a Food Technologist role or similar food-based roles.
• Passion for creative product development in the food sector.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• A proactive, results-driven approach with a focus on consumer needs.
