Title:  Regional Payroll Team Leader

Are you a strategic payroll leader ready to drive operational excellence across Mexico and Caricam? Join our GBS Finance team as a Regional Payroll Team Leader and lead end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, multi-country environment.

 

We are looking for a proactive and experienced professional to oversee payroll execution, manage vendor relationships, and guide a regional team. This role is critical to ensuring payroll compliance, supporting regulatory changes, and driving strategic initiatives across the region.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Lead End-to-End Payroll Operations – Oversee payroll processes from hiring to termination; ensure compliance with local legislation and internal controls across Mexico and Caricam.
  • Manage Regional Team & Vendors – Supervise a team of payroll professionals; coordinate with external vendors to ensure service quality and timely execution.
  • Ensure Compliance & Reporting – Guarantee accurate tax payments, social security contributions, and timely reporting to authorities; support SOX requirements and internal audits.
  • Drive Strategic Improvements – Promote automation and process optimization; lead system implementations and regulatory adaptations in collaboration with IT and other functions.
  • Act as a Key Business Partner – Provide payroll consultancy to business units; collaborate with Legal, Tax, and HR to address risks, opportunities, and strategic needs.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, including supervisory roles and vendor management.
  • Strong Accounting Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican and Caricam payroll regulations, social security, and fiscal legislation.
  • Experience with SAP and at least two payroll systems; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Fluent English; able to coordinate with global teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus; able to build effective teams and drive results.
