Title: IT Security & Governance Engineer
Are you a proactive IT Security professional ready to safeguard systems and influence global strategies across Latin America? Join our Regional IT Team as IT Engineer – Security & Governance and play a key role in protecting infrastructure, driving governance, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You will support cybersecurity operations and governance initiatives across the LATAM region. This role is essential to manage security incidents, collaborate with global teams in the implementation of cybersecurity technologies, and ensure alignment with corporate standards while adapting solutions to regional needs.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Security Incident Management – Coordinate with global cybersecurity teams to identify, contain, and resolve security incidents across LATAM, ensuring timely response and documentation of root causes and corrective actions.
- Ensure Governance and Compliance – Support IT Change Management, Disaster Recovery, and audit readiness; participate in the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards aligned with global frameworks.
- Drive Regional Security Solutions – Influence the design and implementation of global security solutions to ensure they meet LATAM-specific requirements; support deployment, testing, and documentation of new technologies.
- Deliver Project Execution and Support – Manage timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure sustainability of IT security projects; provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and security platforms.
- Collaborate and Communicate Effectively – Act as a regional liaison with global teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders; promote security awareness and training initiatives to strengthen the security culture in the region.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in IT Security, Network Security, or Infrastructure roles, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT networking (intermediate level), operating systems, and workplace technologies; CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with IT security tools and frameworks (e.g., CEH, ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT); familiarity with ITIL and project coordination is a plus.
- Advanced English proficiency; able to work independently and communicate effectively with global teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sense of urgency, and ownership mindset; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
