Title: IT Data Governance Lead
Are you passionate about ensuring data quality and governance in a global organization? As IT Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for implementing policies and standards that guarantee trusted and ethical data for strategic decision-making.
This role is based in Querétaro, where you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that bridges business and technology. It’s an exciting opportunity to drive data culture, lead audits, and contribute to digital transformation projects with exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Implement Data Governance Policies — Ensure adherence to governance processes, controls, and defined roles within the operating model.
- Manage Data Quality — Define quality rules and thresholds, monitor reports, and resolve issues to maintain trusted data.
- Oversee Data Lifecycle Management — Partner with business and technology teams to maintain standards, glossaries, and data dictionaries.
- Conduct Data Security Assessments — Audit security controls and ensure compliance with classification and access policies.
- Maintain Metadata Management — Create and manage metadata, data lineage, and role-based access controls.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s degree in computer systems, data science, programming, administration, or similar.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in data governance or data management roles.
- Strong knowledge of data governance practices and data management frameworks.
- Familiarity with major data regulations (GDPR, ARCO rights, etc.).
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
