Title: Account Payable Team Lead
Are you passionate about leading accounts payable activities and delivering high-quality services to internal clients? Join our Global Business Services team as Account Payable Team Lead for Kellanova in Latin America. In this role, you will lead, solve, and enhance service delivery issues within the Accounts Payable process, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and statutory requirements.
With your expertise, you will ensure high standards of financial and administrative processes, fostering continuous improvement and innovation. This role is located in Queretaro, Mexico and offers a flexible model of work.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team responsible for invoice payment processes, reporting, audit activities, and travel expense back-office operations, supporting their growth and ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Critical Issue Resolution: Solve complex service delivery challenges using root cause analysis methodologies, driving solutions for invoice payments, reporting, travel and expense reimbursements, and month-end closure.
- Process Standardization and Automation: Lead efforts to simplify and automate processes across Latin America, enhancing service quality and efficiency while achieving SLA targets.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate policies, internal procedures, and statutory requirements for all activities, maintaining key controls within invoice processing and payments.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team, leveraging metrics, automation, and capacity assessments to enhance service delivery and achieve results.
- Audit Coordination and Reporting: Oversee internal and external audits for statutory compliance, performing SOX 404 tests and managing balance account reconciliations in line with corporate policies.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting with strong financial analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, foster collaboration, and resolve complex issues with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience in process optimization, with the ability to introduce simplifications and automation to meet organizational goals.
- Advanced English proficiency (mandatory). Portuguese is desirable.
