Title:  Safety Supervisor

Description: 

As a Safety Supervisor, you will play a vital role within the EHS team, supporting plant-wide initiatives to maintain and improve comprehensive health, safety, and wellness programs. You’ll achieve this by implementing and monitoring safety policies, conducting audits, and driving compliance with regulatory standards. This role is based at our Pikeville plant and requires flexible onsite engagement with 24/7 accessibility.

 

In this key position within the Environmental Health & Safety Department, you’ll collaborate closely with the EHS Manager, facility managers, and hourly employees to execute safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives. As a high-profile role, you will interact with individuals at all levels—from senior leadership to the plant floor—giving you a unique opportunity to influence a culture of safety and compliance.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Tools for Success – Supporting incident investigations, developing corrective actions, and managing compliance with safety and loss prevention programs. Performing audits and monitoring work environments to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Drive Change/Continuous Improvement – Assisting in tracking, reporting, and analyzing safety performance. Supporting ongoing development and review of safety programs for continuous improvement and partnering with the EHS Manager to resolve audit findings.
  • Empower Efficiency/Take a New Angle – Designing health controls for hazardous conditions, managing the Plant SDS Program, and coordinating Safety Committee meetings and activities. Identifying and implementing new ideas, technologies, or processes to strengthen employee safety.
  • Strategize to Win/Impact Results – Performing evaluations of existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost savings while maintaining safety standards. Supporting annual budget development and managing inventory of safety equipment.
  • Empower Teams – Serving as a technical safety resource to plant colleagues and supporting the development, documentation, and revision of safety training programs.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety or related or equivalent years of related experience
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

 

Compensation

The annual salary range is $72,100-$99,110, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
