Title: Lead Security Analyst
We are seeking a dynamic Lead Security Analyst to join Kellanova’s Global Cybersecurity team in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) division. This role involves managing a broad range of programs, including creative phishing campaigns and security awareness initiatives. The role can be remote/virtual from any US location where Kellanova operates, with a preference for candidates in the Chicago area or Battle Creek, MI.
As a Lead Security Analyst, you will collaborate with global teams to understand and mitigate their unique risks, providing a diverse and engaging work environment. This position offers exposure to various aspects of cybersecurity and the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Phishing and Awareness Campaigns – Design and manage phishing testing programs to evaluate susceptibility to attacks. Analyze results to identify trends and provide recommendations. Execute awareness campaigns to educate employees on threats and best practices, enhancing overall security posture.
- Policy and Legal Coordination – Develop, review, and update security policies to align with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal departments to ensure policies are practical and contractual agreements address security measures and compliance.
- Audit and Governance – Support internal and external audits by providing accurate information and creating remediation plans. Participate in security governance committees to align security practices with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Training – Work with various departments to integrate security practices into daily operations. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior security analysts, fostering a culture of security within the organization.
- Metrics and Reporting – Develop and track security metrics to assess the effectiveness of security programs. Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or GED with related IT and IT Security work experience.
- Experience in Cybersecurity risk management, 3rd party risk assessments, and conducting information security risk assessments.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and standards like NIST CSF, COBIT, ISO 2700x, SOC II, and regulations such as GPDR, SOX, CSA, CCPA.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills for quantitative and qualitative data analysis, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making.
- Experience with GRC platforms (e.g., RSA Archer, OneTrust) and phishing platforms.
- Proactive problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management and partners.
