Title:  Senior Employee Relations Advisor

Description: 

As Senior Employee Relations Advisor on the HR Advisory Services team within Hire to Retire / Global Business Services, you’ll partner with various Kellanova North America (KNA) stakeholders to drive business growth through HR expertise.  Your role involves offering solutions and recommendations on policies aligned with our values while mitigating risk.  This position is preferably based in Grand Rapids, MI, with an expectation of five days per month onsite. We are also open to remote candidates who reside within commuting distance of a Kellanova or Mars office location and can travel for in-person collaboration as business needs require.

 A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Consulting – Advise and influence all levels of management regarding complex employee relations decisions.  This includes performance management, business conduct, terminations, reorganizations, and HR policies, guidelines, and practices.  Additionally, you’ll assist managers in drafting corrective action, performance management, and separation documentation. 
  • Collaboration – Partner with the Center of Excellence (COE) Employee Relations and Legal team to conduct case review, risk analysis, and outcome execution for employee relations cases.  Escalate higher risk employee relations issues to COE Employee Relations and Legal as appropriate.
  • Customer Focus – Track and interpret trends in employee relations to proactively identify issues, provide recommendations and develop solutions.  Develop materials for employee relations training on HR best practices.  Deliver service in a professional and efficient manner, managing expectations to achieve customer satisfaction.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Associate’s degree or high school diploma and comparable relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, handling multiple issues simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working effectively with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel for business-related activities

 

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $96,500 - $126,630, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
