Title:  Production Scheduler

Description: 

As the Plant Production Scheduler in Kansas City, you will lead scheduling activities within our facility, while also supporting our human resources, labor, and employee relations team. You will be at the heart of our operations, playing a key role in both the strategic and day-to-day functions of the plant. This role is pivotal in ensuring our production schedule runs smoothly and efficiently. You will engage in a variety of tasks beyond core HR duties, reflecting the dynamic nature of this position.

 

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with different teams, influence operational efficiency, and directly contribute to the success of our production processes. The dynamic nature of this role means you’ll continuously learn, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for this role is Wednesday through Saturday, 4:30 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility required.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Data-driven—Report on HR metrics as needed, maintain personnel files, and administer leaves of absence.
  • Drive Efficiency–Contribute to efficient operations and maintain labor relations by accurately scheduling employees according to the plant’s collective bargaining agreements.
  • Collaboration—Partner with Shift Operations to process production paperwork, conduct investigations, issue attendance disciplines, and research grievances and complaints.
  • Training and Development–Prepare training materials and maintain documentation for new hire orientations, safety training, and job-specific training.

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to function in a union environment and promote positive employee relations.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills – primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $44,240 - $58,065, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
