Title: HR Generalist/Scheduling Supervisor
As an HR Generalist/Scheduling Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our HR functions at the Kansas City, KS plant. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various teams and contribute to the plant's overall success. You will be part of a dynamic HR team that values collaboration, diversity, and a positive work environment for all employees.
In this role, you will leverage your HR expertise to support and enhance the plant's operations. Your ability to build strong relationships and provide effective HR solutions will be key to fostering a productive and engaged workforce. You will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals and values.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee Plant Scheduling—Lead a team of 4-5 direct reports providing logistical scheduling support to the bakery, which operates 24/7 and has 600 employees.
- Employee Liaison—Serve as the initial point of contact for HR questions and inquiries from employees at all levels, fostering positive relationships and rapport.
- Set the Pace—Coordinate the job posting process for hourly roles, including candidate screening, manage the Technician probationary process, and assist with new hire orientation.
- Collaboration is Key—Support HR business partners and Kellanova Work Systems Centers of Excellence by administering the Technician Training Program, qualifications, HR metrics reporting, attendance tracking, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), short/long-term disability case management, and the return-to-work process.
- Fresh Thinking—Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline various HR processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Owner’s Mindset—Oversee the plant's employee engagement program, driving engagement within both the salaried and hourly workforce.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior HR experience with a strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.
- Proven ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $72,500 - $95,130, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
