Title:  Automation & Digital Plant Engineer

Description: 

As an Automation and Digital Plant Engineer for our Kansas City facility, you will be pivotal in driving Industry 4.0, 5.0, and beyond. This position is on-site, where you will bring the power of data and automation to our technicians and decision-makers. You will lead in operational technology (OT), utilizing your skills in data collection, SCADA, and networking to unlock our full potential.

 

You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to continuous improvement and technical excellence. This role offers exciting opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our facility. Your expertise in PLC programming, instrumentation, and controls will be crucial in achieving our goals.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Supporting Manufacturing—Implement technology in Industry 4.0, automation, operational technology, manufacturing control platforms, PLC control (Rockwell), robotics, AGV/AMR, control system software applications, SCADA/HMI graphic software applications (Rockwell, Wonderware, Ignition), integration protocol, SAP software, and information gathering systems (OSI-PI).
  • Creating Documentation Develop and maintain software/control system specifications, network topology, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Project Management Lead automation and smart factory projects with cross-functional teams within the plant and regional teams.
  • Developing Capabilities Coach operations leadership in the use of digital manufacturing technology to drive performance improvement.

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4- 6+ years of technical experience, or a high school diploma with 5- 10+ years of technical expertise.
  • Passion for integrating technologies to enable the future of Digital Manufacturing via Industry 4.0 technologies, Data, and Analytics.
  • Skills in SCADA, MES, Data Collection, OT Networking, and Virtualization.
  • SQL, Java, and API skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships.
  • Strong capacity to influence when working with technicians and managers.

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $120,900 - $158,655, which is based on various factors such as location, experience, and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
