The Assistant Brand Manager works under the guidance and coaching of the Brand Manager /Senior Brand Manager to deliver exceptional results for the Brand through brilliant execution of local plans aligned to the Brand Strategy.

Purchase order requisitions and receipting according to S404.

Daily, weekly and monthly tracking/management of the Brand Building budget.

Understanding of the project management process to ensure successful delivery of innovations and renovations.

  • Assist the Brand Manager/Senior Brand Manager in the preparation of the annual volume and investment plan for the brand.  On an ongoing basis, monitor and review this plan to ensure performance vs. objectives and efficient use of resources to achieve the established goals.  Feedback the performance to the Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager as needed.
  • Lead the development and execution of Renovation/Innovation launch plans in market, as approved by the Region (also taking it through stage gate process .
  • Assist the Senior Brand Manager / Marketing Director / Regional Insights manager to execute local research projects (liasing with local design agencies, arranging samples via approved health and safety measures).
  • Assist with the administration of the day-to-day business processes for the brands to ensure effective and efficient business management (e.g. budget management, forecasting)
  • Ensure sign off and archiving of all marketing materials as per auditing and local requirements. Under the direct guidance of the Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager brilliantly execute the agreed calendar of business building activity for the brand locally, in order to deliver the annual country plan
  • Work closely with Marketing Services / Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager to develop plan ideas and materials as agreed via the integrated business planning process on allocated brands and where appropriate  adapt Regional/Global communication for the local market, . 
  • Under the direction of the Band Manager / Senior Brand Manager assist with brand analysis as required – responding to data requests as required.
  • Work closely with Trade marketing, and Sales to ensure effective execution of actions at point of sale.

EDUCATION & RELEVANT YEARS JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

 

A degree and/or diploma in Business studies / Marketing, coupled with 1 - 2 years experience in a marketing, research or R&D environment.
