As a Category Manager at Kellanova, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of snacking by turning data, insights, and collaboration into category growth.

 

Based in the Netherlands in a hybrid working model, the position sits at the heart of the commercial organization, partnering closely with customers and internal teams to build winning categories that delight shoppers and deliver shared value.

 

With a strong focus on tracking category performance and market trends, the Category Manager analyzes category and assortment performance to support customer business reviews and internal decision-making. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, using data-led insights to influence assortment choices, strengthen customer relationships, and help position Kellanova as a trusted category partner.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Develop Customer Assortments: Shape and optimize customer assortments in line with Kellanova’s channel and portfolio growth strategies, supporting customers with fact-based recommendations on assortment, shelf layout, and planograms while nurturing long-term, trust-based relationships.
  • Bring Trade Stories & Category Vision to Life: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and revenue growth management to build compelling trade stories and category visions, translating insights into clear, customer-facing business plans that drive mutual growth.
  • Build the Assortment of the Future: Contribute market expertise to category and marketing teams to support innovation and new assortment development, ensuring future ranges are rooted in shopper needs, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Own Panel Data Management: Act as the key point of contact for panel data and local research agencies such as Nielsen and YouGov, building, maintaining, and evolving market performance dashboards that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.

 


We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Master’s degree in Business
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG on the Dutch market, with a background in Category Management and/or Key Account Management
  • Strong planning capabilities with hands-on experience using retail insights and syndicated data tools
  • Solid understanding of P&L management and commercial performance drivers
