Title:  Senior HR Advisory and Operations Manager

Description: 

Join our Global Business Service (GBS) team as a Senior HR Advisory and Operations Manager!  In this role, you will be instrumental in driving business growth by leveraging your expertise in human resources and employee relations.  You will support people leaders and employees to enhance employee engagement while managing risk effectively.  This position is hybrid and will work out of our Grand Rapids, MI office.

 

As the leader of the Kellanova North America (KNA) HR Advisory Services and Hire to Retire (HTR) Operations teams, you will provide strategic solutions and recommendations on employee relations and compliance issues.  Working cross-functionally to address HTR issues, you’ll ensure a supportive work environment and make sure actions align with company policies, guidelines, and applicable laws, fostering positive employee relations.  Your role will be pivotal in promoting a culture of compliance and engagement, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing 

 

  • Team Leadership – Oversee a team supporting employee relations and operations functions within the KNA organization.  Manage all aspects of department operations, including budget accountability and performance management, to ensure the team meets organizational goals.
  • System Evaluation and Improvement – Evaluate current systems, processes, data, and guidelines to identify areas of improvement.  Collaborate with center of excellence partners to develop and implement recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management – Serve as the primary relationship manager for outsourced providers, ensuring performance guarantees are consistently met.  Manage external vendors to resolve critical issues promptly, including escalated operational concerns.
  • Legal Compliance and Policy Management – Partner with the Legal department to ensure all plans, policies, and programs comply with relevant laws and regulations.  Provide guidance to people managers and HR Business Partners on advisory services and operations issues in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Project and Restructuring Management – Lead project management efforts, including advisory and employee relations work stream management for any restructuring initiatives.  Offer consultation to various levels of management on employee relations matters, including performance management, business conduct, terminations, and restructures.

We’re Looking for Someone With 

 

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven expertise in human resources roles
  • Demonstrated strength in leading and managing teams
  • Experience with employment law
  • Ability to present to large audiences, both virtually and in person
