Title: Manufacturing Reliability Specialist
As a Manufacturing Reliability Specialist, you’ll be the technical leader in driving strategies that keep our equipment performing at its best and reduce costly downtime. This role is all about applying advanced maintenance methodologies to build capability, sustain improvements, and deliver measurable results. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams and plant leadership to implement proven systems and tools that elevate operational performance.
This position is based on-site at our Grand Rapids manufacturing facility, where you’ll work closely with reliability specialists and operations teams. You’ll lead projects that optimize equipment reliability, coach leaders to strengthen team capability, and use data-driven insights to eliminate chronic issues. Expect hands-on work with maintenance systems, structured problem-solving, and opportunities to influence plant-wide improvements.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Implement Advanced Maintenance Strategies – Deploy structured processes such as autonomous maintenance and reliability-focused practices to improve equipment performance and reduce breakdowns.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis – Use data and diagnostics to identify recurring losses and implement sustainable solutions.
- Develop Training Programs – Build and deliver technical training for operations and leadership on maintenance systems and continuous improvement tools.
- Drive Cost-Saving Initiatives – Champion projects that reduce downtime and deliver measurable efficiency gains.
- Coach and Empower Teams – Equip supervisors and managers with the skills to lead reliability-focused work teams.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Holds a High School Diploma or GED and has experience leading technical improvement initiatives.
- Brings hands-on expertise in structured maintenance methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
- Has a proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Can influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Possesses strong analytical skills for diagnosing equipment issues and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, tracking, and communication.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $78,600 - $103,215, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
