Title:  IT Systems Engineer

As an IT Systems Engineer for our Grand Rapids, MI facility you will have ownership of investigations, troubleshooting and resolution of technical/quality issues. Under the leadership of the Engineering Manager, you will lead the Industrial Software systems portion of the engineering department to deliver on action plans and contribute towards the strategic vision. As you strive towards meeting our continuous improvement goals and providing technical expertise, you will be a vital part to our facilities’ success. 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating and Maintaining PI – Own the creation and maintenance of the plant’s software systems and network. This could include hardware, software, plant and system wide architecture and surplus assets. Crucially, you’ll ensure the successful delivery and use of these technologies. You will collaborate with the Industrial Systems Engineer to promote common systems, leveraging of scale and future integration possibilities.
• Managing Internal Network – Perform health checks to the internal network system (OT). Identifying issues and provide turnkey solutions until a resolution has been found, as we like to say: from start to finish! You won’t keep the pace – you’ll set it!
• Maintain Software Licenses – Work with project teams to implement plant reporting systems on equipment. Maintain current licensing by always being on the lookout for the next best thing. Identify obsolete systems and eliminate to ensure we grow together along the way!

Your Recipe for Success

• High School Diploma with substantial working experience in a related technical field
• Strong working knowledge of PI systems
• Internal OT Network Experience is a plus
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully manage internal and external relationships
• Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
• Accountability - Being a self-starter and delivering results
