Title:  Associate Category Manager

Description: 

As an Associate Category Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, you will be at the forefront of strategic procurement, leading initiatives across a broad range of direct categories. This 12-month fixed-term role is critical in delivering measurable cost savings, improving supplier performance, and maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

 

You will shape and execute sourcing strategies, manage key supplier relationships, and ensure financial accuracy in procurement planning and reporting. Working closely with a team of nine and reporting to the Senior Category Manager – Procurement, you’ll operate in a hybrid capacity from our Dublin office, with occasional travel to supplier and plant locations.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management: Lead sourcing activities to achieve cost reductions and value improvements. Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the regional point of contact for supplier negotiations and internal stakeholder collaboration. Build strong relationships to support long-term sourcing success.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Own the procurement budget and its revisions. Ensure accuracy in financial metrics such as P&L outlook, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), and risk/opportunity assessments.
  • Process Ownership & Support: Guide the direct procurement team in executing sourcing processes, category strategies, and buy plans.
  • Market Intelligence: Generate insights on supplier performance and market trends to inform sourcing decisions and negotiation strategies.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Background in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of organisational awareness and self-management
