Title:  Senior Tax Manager - Transfer Pricing

Description: 

As our Senior Tax Manager - Transfer Pricing, you will be responsible for managing global transfer pricing for Kellanova, including the development of transfer pricing practices, policies and strategies. This individual will oversee the completion of all contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation and reporting globally and they will monitor global transfer pricing developments and their impact on Kellanova. Operational transfer pricing will be a keen focus of this role, ensuring that agreed upon transfer pricing policies are effectively implemented. The individual will also have US international tax and tax planning responsibilities and will play an important role in managing Kellanova’s response to changes in the global tax environment.

This role will sit within the Kellanova tax team and can be based in Chicago, Illinois or Battle Creek, Michigan.  The successful candidate will be an important member of a commercial & strategic global team.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • All About Transfer Pricing: Manage the development and implementation of transfer pricing practices, policies, and strategies. Oversee the completion of all contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation and reporting globally; close collaboration with external consultants will be required as part of this. Oversee and maintain necessary intercompany agreements. Ensure that agreed upon transfer pricing policies are effectively implemented and lead operational transfer pricing process improvements / automations that will ensure accuracy and achieve efficiencies and simplification. Lead the development of audit strategies, the preparation of defense files and audit responses in collaboration with external consultants. Monitor global transfer pricing developments and their impact on Kellanova’s business model, including OECD and country specific developments. Communicate these developments to the appropriate stakeholders in Kellanova.
  • Be All About Taxes: You will support M&A and group re-organizations this will include responsibility for due diligence, review of deal terms and post-acquisition integration of acquired businesses into the Kellanova operating model. Manage Kellanovas global response to significant changes in the external tax environment. Support the US International Tax Director and the compliance group on foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT and FDII calculations for the US tax return and the quarterly and annual income tax provision. Manage tax planning initiatives aimed at achieving tax savings and tax-efficient cash repatriation.
  • And All About People: Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to maintain a deep understanding of our business models, transaction flows, risk, and functions. Partner cross-functionally in the development and execution of business model optimization strategies. Work closely with the US International Tax Director to manage the US international tax impacts and considerations associated with business operations. Manage external consultants and associated fees. Interact with external auditors. Directly and indirectly manage people. This includes direct people management together with providing mentoring and training to other tax personnel globally.

 

Your Recipe for Success

 

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience managing complex transfer pricing issues within global organizations or public accounting firms. Experience in US international tax matters including foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT and FDII is also desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA
  • Highly developed commercial sense and the ability to work autonomously and to influence and work across a variety of functions & cultures.
  • Well-developed communication, leadership, influencing and analytical skill with close attention to detail.
  • Strong intercultural awareness.
