Title:  Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy

Description: 

As a Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy – Innovation you will support the MorningStar Farms brand within the Frozen Veggie Category. This hybrid position is based in Chicago, IL or Naperville, IL., with Battle Creek, MI also as an option. In this exciting role, you will play a critical part in shaping our commercial vision and be at the forefront of driving breakthrough ideas, disruptive product/brand initiatives and market expansion.

 

Our team collaborates with cross-functional partners, including sales, marketing, finance, category strategy, revenue growth management, R&D, and supply chain. Together, we create a commercial strategy for MorningStar Farms that excites customers and profitably grows sales and market share.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Customer Focus - Represent our customers and sales teams, serving as their voice internally in the development of strategies, plans and execution. Your ongoing knowledge of customers and customer plans will allow you to create and implement best in class programs to drive results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration  Foster significant partnerships across sales, marketing, finance and supply chain. You must be able to work with a group of diverse functions and ensure strong alignment towards common goals.
  • Business Insights - Proactively track, analyze and make strategic and tactical recommendations for the brands and category. It will be necessary for you to provide perspective and solutions to the teams based on learnings from both Kellanova and competitive data.
  • Project Management – Execute, monitor, and drive visibility to product work that is required to execute projects frequently. Ability to deliver projects and inputs accurately and on time will be critical to the success of this role.
  • Deliver Results  Deliver volume and profit results that contribute to achievement of overall financial objectives.  

 

We’re Looking for Someone With
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree as well as a strong background in the areas of sales, commercial strategy, sales strategy and cross-functional project work.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks with various deadlines, specific time constraints and conflicting priorities. Must be able to effectively prioritize work within heavy workload periods.
  • Some travel is required for this position.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret Neilsen data, market research and sales planning systems.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with many people at various levels of the organization.
