Title:  Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy

Description: 

Advance your career as a Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy supporting Innovation in the Salty Snacking Category which includes brands like Pringles, Cheez-It and Club crackers. The role can be based in Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI.  In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in shaping our commercial vision and be on the forefront of driving breakthrough ideas, disruptive product launches and market expansion.

 

Our team works with cross-functional partners including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, R&D and Supply Chain to create a Commercial Strategy for innovation that gets customers excited and grows sales & share. 

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Customer Focus - Our Customers and Field Sales will rely on you to represent them and serve as their voice in the development of innovation strategies, plans and execution.  You will ensure Innovation and programs to support them are best in class and will deliver the business needs. You will frequently be called on to visit customers and sell-in new innovations with customer, shopper and consumer insights to support the project.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – This role has significant partnerships across Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Research & Development, and Sales. This individual must be able to work with a group of diverse functions and ensure they are all working towards the same initiatives.
  • Project Management  You will frequently execute, monitor and drive visibility to Product Work Requests (PWR) that are required to execute projects.  Ability to deliver projects and inputs accurately and on time will be critical to the success of this role. 
  • Business Insights - You will proactively track, analyze, and make strategic and tactical recommendations for the category innovation execution.  It will be necessary for you to provide perspective and solutions to the teams based on learnings from both Kellanova and competitive innovation.  By sharing achievements or best practices related to innovation launches, you will help set others up for success. 

 

 

Your Recipe for Success

 

  • Strong background in the areas of commercial strategy, sales strategy, field sales and cross-functional project work. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines, specific time constraints, and conflicting priorities. Must be able to prioritize projects within heavy workload periods.
  • Frequent travel is a requirement of this position.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Analytical skills: the ability to interpret Neilson Data and Market Research
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work with many people at various levels of the organization.
