Title:  Brand Portfolio Marketing Manager

Description: 

As a Brand Portfolio Marketing Manager for the Away From Home (AFH) Business Unit, you will lead portfolio management and support brand activation for our Salty Snacking portfolio, featuring iconic brands like Cheez-It, Pringles, and Club Crackers. This hybrid role, based in Chicago or Naperville, IL (three days in office, at least one in Naperville), partners cross-functionally with AFH and Retail leaders to serve as the strategic marketing voice across Away From Home channels.

 

As part of the AFH Marketing Team, you will shape success in Food Service and Small Format channels, navigating 20+ segments in a complex route-to-market. Your expertise in immediate consumption and passion for brand building will drive growth and innovation for our portfolio.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver Results  Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for the category you manage with appropriate top and bottom-line goal setting. Develop annual brand and category business plans focused on maximizing net sales and operating profit.
  • Drive Portfolio Growth Oversee brand and product management activities for your portfolio, including commercializing both innovation and renovation projects. Identify product and packaging improvement opportunities, lead SKU rationalization and margin improvement projects, and create and manage the product portfolio roadmap.
  • Achieve Business Excellence & Financial Health Perform ongoing business analysis and reporting and understand key drivers for the brand/channel through financial knowledge of the SKUs. Work with financial planning to review SKU margins/costs against KPIs and build research and knowledge agenda in coordination with insights and commercial strategy partners.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage critical portfolio projects with a cross-functional team. Work in collaboration with key partners, including brand, insights, commercial strategy, finance, supply chain, innovation, and others to build and execute your strategies.


We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required.
  • Extensive experience in brand/portfolio management and marketing, with strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proven category expertise including P&L management, market trends, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Marketing and commercial experience in CPG, with exposure to both B2B and B2C channels.
  • Portfolio management proficiency in innovation/renovation projects, SKU optimization, and packaging changes.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, adept at influencing in a matrixed organization and building cross-functional relationships.
  • Data-driven decision-making using syndicated sources (NIQ, Circana) and consumer insights to drive portfolio growth.

 

Compensation

The annual salary range is $99,700 - $130,830, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
