Title: Safety Coordinator
Join our Snacks plant in Cary, NC as a Safety Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees. As a member of our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team you will be vital to creating and maintaining culture of safety. This position is a Monday through Friday position, working overnight from 10:30pm to 6:30am with a pay rate of $26.02 per hour.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Teamwork - Attend and actively participate in shift meetings focused on the entire facility and running your own safety focused meetings.
- Creating and maintaining Safety Material - Assist with the creation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety training materials. Order and stock Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Daily Safety Reviews - Conduct daily reviews of EHS performance along with inspections of specific machines.
- Audits and investigations - Conduct safety audits and inspections, maintaining accurate records, and maintaining readiness for emergency responses.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- High School diploma or GED.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work all shifts.
- First responder certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire).
- OSHA 40-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- OSHA 501 certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire).
- Proficiency in computer skills, including KCAPP, Insight, SAP, Kellogg Digital Sites, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
