Food Safety Coordinator

If you’re ready to bring the best, come join the Quality & Food Safety team as a Food Safety Coordinator. You will be responsible for executing and ensuring compliance with Food Safety programs in our plant, aligning with corporate policies. This position is key to maintaining hygiene and safety standards in our production operations. This role is located in Bogotá, Colombia with the expectation to be in the plant from Monday to Friday.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Implementation of Food Safety Programs: Execute and ensure compliance with Food Safety programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), microbiological control, pest control, environmental monitoring, allergen management, cleaning and disinfection, hygiene zones, HACCP, and foreign material control.
  • Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Generate monthly Sanitation Score Card indicators, follow up and develop action plans to correct detected deviations, and conduct internal and external Q&FS audits to ensure program compliance.
  • Leadership in Housekeeping and Suppliers: Lead the Housekeeping program in the plant and manage the suppliers and ingredients program, including the development of new products for Colombia.
  • Procedure and Budget Management: Administer cleaning and disinfection procedures, develop new procedures as necessary, and manage the Food Safety budget.
  • Training and Safety Culture: Support the development and coaching of quality personnel, promote a culture of safety, and participate in activities aimed at injury and illness prevention, aligning with our values and environmental policies.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in production plants or food companies.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage projects.
  • Basic English level.
